A. Every year the parent bamboo plant makes several new stems that grow to maturity in a few months. Each stem needs 5 years to gain the necessary hardness. In a mature bamboo plantation the 5 year old stems can be harvested every year, without decreasing the size of the forest.
Q3. What is bamboo flooring
A. Bamboo
is attractive as a building material
because it is very hard, strong,
dimensionally stable and
environmentally friendly. 27% harder
than Northern Red Oak, 13% harder
than hard Maple, Bamboo unlike most
hardwood trees requiring many years
to grow to maturity, it can be
harvested every 3 to 5 years and is
renewably harvested over and over
from the same plants.
The
bamboo flooring is typically made of
all bamboo plant.
Bamboo
flooring could be classified by
horizontal and vertical kind
according to the structure of bamboo
strips. Horizontal process: Under
high hydraulic pressure, the bamboo
strips are glued together along
horizontal orientation, then are
laminated three layers along
vertical orientation, then follow to
be tongued and grooved. Horizontal
product has obvious node and clear
grain. Vertical kind: Bamboo strips
are laminated directly along
vertical ply, Vertical product has
obvious stripe and close grain,
which is more durable. But its cost
is higher.
Q4. What is Strand Woven bamboo flooring
A. Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring is the newest
look to hit the Bamboo Flooring
industry! Manufactured by
taking strands (small strips) of
bamboo and fusing them together
using heat, pressure glue creating a
new version of bamboo flooring. This
is a true environmentally friendly
floor since nothing is wasted in
this manufacturing process. Another
benefit of the strand woven bamboo
flooring is the fact that the
coloration runs completely through
the entire floor. It’s one solid
piece of bamboo so if it were to
chip, you would most likely not
notice it as much as another type of
flooring. Strand Bamboo is a floor
that is even harder and denser than
traditional bamboo flooring, with a
grain more similar to hardwood
flooring. Compared with the
traditional bamboo flooring it is
higher in density, stability, and
hardness is around 3000 on the (Janka)
rating scale.
The end result is a
beautiful bamboo floor that has a
wood flooring appearance and is also
extremely durable. A lot of new
looks come and go but this one is
sure to be a winner with builders,
decorators and homeowners alike.

CWF using NAN bamboo or MAO bamboo as our bamboo flooring material, which is from Southern China, and is about 5 to 7" dimension, and Panda never and can't eat these species.
Q6. Does the bamboo flooring turn brown when getting older
A, Yes, the normal bamboo flooring will turn brown when they are made without taking sugar out, or made of moldy bamboo. But, all our products are made of natural materials strictly selected and processed to keep off insects and moldiness. All our products will never get faded with time.
Q7. The bamboo products are inclined to split. Is there any danger to get hurt with the splinter
A. Bamboo has an equal fiber towards a stem and unites the fiber and fruits (flesh) into one. This strong elasticity may be a cause of your question. Please remember it is rare for bamboo scales to split. We developed the safe and durable products not to split into splinters after long investigation and efforts considering the defects that bamboo may have.
Q8. Dose bamboo floors as hard as other hardwood
